FAQs

Q: Is there a more flexible alert GUI for users to use such as widgets or optional templates?

A: Not for the time being. The Asset Monitoring Center (AMC), which is currently under development, has a template for domain-specific alert configuration, which is for the renewable domain at this stage.

Q: How can the collected alert data be transferred to external video wall for display?

A: You can subscribe to the alert data in real-time through alert data subscription via applications and display it on large screen displays.

Q: Can alerts be displayed as a tree view to give users a more intuitive visual?

A: Not for the time being.

Q: How can users better use the alert system? It is currently not very flexible, for example, it can only observe a specific measurement point of a certain value, with the alert reported from difference devices. If users wish to measure more than one point at a time, they can only use their own tools to subscribe to all reported measurement points, create rules to trigger the alert, and then combine all the conditions (AND, OR, etc.)

A: The new alert engine planned for end of 2020 will provide alert configurations for multiple devices and measurement points, as well as other improved alert functions such as alerts based on device events, timings, etc.

Q: What are the dashboard templates for alerts? How do I create a template?

A: The dashboard function is currently not available for alerts.

Q: Can the alert display an alert overview that includes the inherited elements such as asset, product, devices, which element the alert is sent from, as well as its logical view?

A: The existing alert service can display the alert type, device, data information, etc.
